(TSC) is located in the Colorado Springs area, performing mechanical engineering consulting work. Its principal, Tibor Kiss Ph.D. has a total of twenty years of experience in automotive system simulation, including seven years at Cummins, six years at Sturman Industries, two years at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and five years as an independent consultant. TSC is primarily involved in supporting the design, development and troubleshooting of internal combustion engine subsystems with numerical analysis. The systems analyzed include fuel injection systems, hydraulic valve actuation systems, lubricating systems, air injections systems, exhaust energy recovery systems, water injection systems, hydraulic hybrid systems, thermal management systems and other fluid/thermal engine subsystems. TSC also performs internal combustion engine thermodynamic cycle simulation to aid the development of new engine operating strategies and radically new engine concepts. The simulation tools are primarily software proprietary to TSC, developed at TSC, although commercial software also may be used if requested.

We mainly use two simulation tools developed on the MATLAB/Simulink modeling platform, and two commercial (although openware) software:

Hydraulic system simulation tool

Engine thermodynamic cycle simulation tool

3. Electromagnetic analysis of solenoid hydraulic control valves using FEMM electromagnetics finite element code

4. 3D CFD with OpenFOAM (capability currently added)
